Police crackdown on driving offences in Wandsworth Bridge

Among the offences were drink driving, possession of a knife and driving with no insurance. Officers stopped 250 vehicles on Monday, April 17 as part of Operation Sync – a mission to detect driving offences and target criminals travelling to south west London. A team of 50 officers reported a variety of driving offences as vehicles headed towards Kingston, Richmond, Wandsworth and Merton.   In a statement on Facebook, Wandsworth Police said: “Overall, there was one arrest for Drink Driving (at double the limit), one arrest for possession of an offensive weapon after a knife was found in the driver’s door and one arrest for failing to appear at court.
