Well, it’s been a long, hard-fought battle that saw many a good pizza man and pizza woman meet an honorable and distinguished end. But like any struggle for supremacy, there can be but one victor, and while we won’t actually know who that is until the Final Four Taste-Off this Saturday, Dec 19 at Boxing Cat Brewery, we do know who will be competing. Of the 100 pizza purveyors to enter the Thunderdome – née, Thunderoven – Pizza Saporita, Bottega, Great Leap Brewing, and Q Mex emerged best in class.
Now, onto some voting stats: with the growth of
the Beijinger’s Chinese edition, an increasingly large percentage of voters were Chinese; 72 percent to be precise. When analyzing the data by nationality, it s clear that both Chinese and
laowai agreed on the results of all 16 matches, showing that people recognize a great pizza no matter where they re from.
