Known as Kilo Art-of-Fact, musician Julio Cordonnier recorded an album in 2016 called
Illegal Alien with a DJ called Buddha Fingers. Now a U.S. citizen, he puts on an intense live show and recently recorded some cumbia music.
But after spending several years working at countless restaurants in almost every capacity, Cordonnier now sells great traditional Chilean empanadas as Chef Key. These are the kinds of pockets he grew up eating, with recipes his relatives have been perfecting for decades. A few years ago, he started bringing these empanadas to gigs. From there, he began walking around bars in Fort Worth and Deep Ellum selling empanadas in a chef’s uniform.
