This week, United Kingdom-based retail chain Mark & Spencer reported that it is selling two vegan beef sandwiches per minute. Launched on Wednesday, the new New York Style No Beef Pretzel Roll sold under the chain’s own Plant Kitchen line features marinated wheat and vegetable protein, sauerkraut, carrot and spring onion slaw, dill pickles, mustard dressing, and coconut-based cheese and comes on a pretzel roll. In addition to its fast-selling sandwich, Marks & Spencer launched a variety of new vegan products in time for Veganuary, including No-Chicken Pieces in Peri Peri and BBQ flavors; No Beef Steak Bakes; Chickenless Southern Fried Tenders; Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie; and more.
