El consejero de Sanidad del Gobierno de Canarias, Blas Trujillo, ha presentado esta mañana la campaña de vacunación contra la gripe para la temporada 2020-21 que se plantea en el contexto de la pandemia de Covid-19. Junto al consejero, el jefe de sección de Epidemiología y Prevención de la Dirección General de Salud Pública, Amós García Rojas, ha detallado el operativo previsto para el inicio de la vacunación el día 15 de octubre y los tipos de vacuna que van a administrarse en los centros de salud. Blas Trujillo señaló que este año coincide la situación actual de pandemia con la temporada de gripe por lo que es importante potenciar la vacunación. Para ello, Canarias ha adquirido para afrontar esta temporada de gripe 2020-21 un total de 320.000 dosis de vacuna frente a la gripe, por un importe de 1.750.000 euros. A estas dosis se suman otras 60.000 que aporta el Ministerio de Sanidad, Consumo y Bienestar Social.
