Maryland’s General Assembly will consider legislation this session intended to prohibit Gov. Lawrence J. Hogan Jr. (R) and future governors from using texting apps that automatically destroy their messages.
Maryland’s governors will no longer have a role in parole decisions and counties will be banned from entering into agreements with the federal government to hold detainees in local jails.
At a news conference last week, Hogan said he’s met with Senate President Bill Ferguson and they discussed the legislature’s intention to override several bills.
