BATON ROUGE - A man arrested for trespassing at the U.S. Capitol after protesters forced their way into the building last week attended a rally in Baton Rouge just days after the siege in Washington.
KATC cites federal court records saying Vaughn Gordon attended a pro-Trump rally the weekend following the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol. Video filmed by WBRZ shows Gordon was in attendance outside the State Capitol on Saturday.
The documents also say Gordon posted several photos on Facebook the day of the riot showing him inside the Rotunda at the U.S. Capitol. Some of the photos posted by Gordon featured the caption Live inside the Congress building. It was worth the tear gas.

So far only one Louisianan has been arrested for participating in the riot at the Capitol last week, 50-year-old Vaughn Gordon of Lafayette. Gordon was charged Thursday with one count of knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted building without lawful authority, and one count of demonstrating in the Capitol.
Gordon isn’t accused of being violent, only of misdemeanors, but legal analyst Tim Meche said everyone at the Capitol that day who gets caught will pay a price.
“When a law enforcement officer dies, everyone in the law enforcement community takes it seriously and they are going to make sure that everybody who is identified as being at the Capitol will be held accountable,” said Meche.

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The United States District Court for the District of Columbia has filed a criminal complaint against a Lafayette man for entering the Capitol building during the Jan. 6 events.
Court documents say Vaughn Gordon posted photographs on Facebook from inside the rotunda of the U.S. Capitol. The photographs were provided to law enforcement. The pictures showed Gordon taking a selfie outside of the Capitol wearing goggles, and inside the Capitol with goggles around his neck with the caption âLive inside the Congress building. “The president has not conceded the president said he has got us,” I heard a voice blare out over a loudspeaker as I walked toward the Louisiana State Capitol building in Baton Rouge at a “Stop the Steal” rally on January 9. Once there, I found a few dozen people gathered listening to a handful of speakers consoling themselves about the imminent end of the Trump
