Director Amelia Moses’ second film is a new take on an old genre, the werewolf movie. In the Canadian-made Bloodthirsty, pop singer Grey (Lauren Beatty) decamps to the rural house of shifty music producer Vaughn Daniels (Greg Bryk). There, Grey begins work on new material but finds herself giving in to her animalistic side.
We talked to the 28-year-old Montreal-based director, who grew up in Vancouver, about body horror, American Werewolf in London, and virtual movie premieres.
Q: Your first short films are horror, as is your first movie, Bleed With Me. Have you always been a fan?
