SELMA, Ala. (WSFA) - Preparations are underway to hold a massive COVID-19 vaccination clinic in Selma starting on Feb. 8. About 5,000 doses will be up for grabs.
Whoever planted the âheroesâ sign in front of Vaughan Regional Medical Center probably had Becky Taylor in mind. âIt is such a blessing for our community,â she said.
Taylor will be part of a major team handling the drive-through vaccinations at Bloch (Block) Park in Selma beginning Monday morning at 8. Taylor is an office manager connected with Vaughan Regional Medical Center.

SELMA, Ala. (WSFA) - Like many other rural hospitals in the state, Vaughan Regional Medical Center in Selma is awaiting the arrival of their first shipment of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.
“We’re expecting to get about 900 doses of the Moderna vaccine this week,” said Dr. Dalton Williamson, pharmacy director at Vaughan Regional Medical Center.
“We are very excited about getting the vaccine,” said CEO J. David McCormack. “I just hope people take the vaccine and see the seriousness of this.”
