The hurricane season is approaching, and rising temperatures are causing a "La Niña" effect in the Atlantic, which might result in bigger and stronger tropical storms.
As experts anticipate that a phenomenon known as La Niña will emerge for the second year in succession, the rainy winter that the American southwest had hoped for as it faces terrible drought and heat is becoming increasingly unlikely to materialize.
Although the Atlantic hurricane season doesn't technically finish until November 30, experts say the chances of another tropical storm forming shortly are slim.
