Taco fundraiser helps North County Rape Crisis Center

SANTA MARIA, Calif. - A group of Pioneer Valley High School Students worked with Vaqueras Taco Truck to raise $1400 for the North County Rape Crisis and Child Protection Center. A portion of sales from the mobile restaurant parked on the 900 block of North Broadway in Santa Maria Monday night are going to the non-profit. The PVHS SHARe Club (Safe, Healthy, Adolescent Relationships) organized the event. I believe the fundraiser was for a very good cause, said SHARe Vice President Idalia Bucio. “We did something good for our community, not just for ourselves.’’

In a joint effort, the sales raised $1,400 for the center and to support Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Awareness Month.
