VANPORT TWP. Due to COVID-19 and community safety concerns, the Vanport Township Volunteer Fire Department has canceled the 2021 Valley’s Best Chili Cookoff.
The popular showdown of local chili makers, a fundraiser for the fire department, had been scheduled to take place Feb. 21. Our 15th annual Valley’s Best Chili Cookoff will resume hopefully Feb. 20, 2022, event spokesman and Vanport firefighter Randy Morrow said. To our sponsors, contestants and caring community, thank you all for making this such a great Beaver County event, Morrow said. We are proud to be the home of this event for years to come.
