Horror at the Cecil Hotel is a three-part series which takes a look at three different murder cases, all of which took place at the Downtown LA hotel. The hotel has been the backdrop to many crimes and is renowned for mysterious deaths and a number of suicides, while the recent Netflix doc focused on the disappearance of Elisa Lam, this series delves more deeply into other crimes and unsolved mysteries connected with the hotel.

Ramirez wasn t the only serial killer to have walked through the doors of The Cecil Hotel either.
Austrian journalist Jack Unterweger stayed there in 1991 and during his killing spree he targeted prostitutes, murdering women in Austria, the Czech Republic and Los Angeles.
He was convicted of 11 murders by an Austrian court and was sentenced to life imprisonment.
Unterweger then later killed himself while he was in prison.
