With his retirement package in hand, Vance Howell turned in his Georgia-Pacific ID badge and drove out the gates of the Foley Cellulose Mill for the last time five months ago leaving four decades of employment in his rearview mirror.
While the Foley Cellulose Mill changed ownership three times over the past 40 years, transitioning from a private business partnership to a publicly-traded company, Howell is one thing that has remained constant.
