Potton resident Marc Van Oordt planned to celebrate his 50th birthday representing his adopted country, Canada at the World Triathlon Championships in his native Netherlands last year in 2020. The competition was postponed to 2021, but the circumstances were uncertain and Van Oordt decided not to go.
“I still wanted to do something special to mark the momentous event in my life and have decided to embark upon my own solo, semi-autonomous triathlon in Potton and combine it with a fundraiser for a community charitable organization,” shared Van Oordt.
