CORNING - Restaurants and bars on Market Street are reemerging after temporarily closing this past winter due to the economic downturn caused by the coronavirus pandemic, and a new brewery location will open on the historic main street in mid-to-late May.
The Market Street Brewing Company, Hand + Foot and Volo Bar & Lounge recently reopened and Iron Flamingo Brewery, located on Baker Street, will roll out a new Barrell House, at 54 W. Market St., in late spring.
“I’d like to think that will all of the vaccinations that are happening, even though it is still important to have social distancing and to wear a mask, I think people are feeling more comfortable getting out and doing more personal shopping, dining and exploring,” said Coleen Fabrizi, executive director of the Corning Gaffer District.
