Multiple winter storms are bringing snow, ice and dangerously cold temperatures to many parts of the country over the long holiday weekend.
More than 100 million Americans were under some sort of winter weather advisory on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
In its forecast, the weather service warned of a myriad of winter weather hazards across the continental U.S. over the coming days, including heavy snowfall throughout the Pacific Northwest and icy weather and slick travel conditions in the mid-Atlantic.

Officials are seeking tips after a timber crew working in a forested area in rural Clackamas County found skeletal human remains earlier this month.
A Weyerhauser crew working southeast of Molalla found the remains, which included a partial human skull, on Jan. 8, according to the Clackamas County Sheriff s Office.
Officials said pieces of clothing found in the area indicate the remains had been there for some time, including before the wildfires in the area last September.
The case is being investigated as a homicide.
The location of the remains, down a steep ravine off of a private logging road, required the assistance of a search and rescue team.
Jahade Chancey, was shot after he heard a knock and opened the front door of the Demonlow recording studio on Van Duzer St. near Metcalfe St. in Stapleton about 7:45 p.m. Saturday, police said.

The suite of tests will provide details about the girl’s eye and skin color, her ethnicity and the geographic origin of ancestry, said Dr. Nici Vance, the state’s forensic anthropologist.
Little is known about the child, whose remains were discovered Dec. 10 near the rest area along the H.B. Van Duzer Forest State Scenic Corridor in Lincoln County. A person who had stopped by the rest area came across her remains along the muddy banks of the Salmon River.
