GLENVILLE – Sarnowski’s Van Curler Greenhouse on Freemans Bridge Road in Glenville closed in March 2007 after 78 years in business.
Now, 14 years later, there is a plan to redevelop the site into a solar and retail development. A public hearing on zoning is set for May 19.
But the site that once offered nature help in many area backyards over the decades has sat virtually untouched since the greenhouse’s closure. During that time, though, nature itself worked to reclaim the site for herself, all in view of countless motorists who passed by daily.
