17-year-old pianist, Antonio "Nio" Ajero, will perform his senior piano recital in Cole Concert Hall in the Tom & Peggy Wright Music Building at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at 4pm. Program will include works by Bach/Busoni, Mozart, Chopin, Brahms, & Bartok. Admission is free, but donations to the SFA Piano Area Scholarship Fund will be accepted at the door or online at: www.sfasu.edu/give (please specify that the donation should go to SFA Piano Area Scholarship Fund). This past year, Ajero won the Gold Medal in the 2021 Piano Star International Competition and earned 3rd prize in the MTNA-Yamaha National Senior Piano Competition. He plans to attend Oberlin Conservatory to study piano with 2001 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition Gold Medalist, Stanislav Ioudenitch.
