Man shot by Kent Police officer Monday night

Police are investigating after an officer shot a man in Kent on Monday night.
Kent Police said it happened around 9:40 p.m. Monday at the Homestead Apartments in the 20600 block of 108th Avenue Southeast.
Officers gave the man medical aid and said he was conscious and alert before he was taken to Harborview Medical Center.
Kent Police have not yet said what led up to the shooting.
The officer involved was not hurt and will be placed on administrative leave per Kent Police Department policy.
The shooting will be investigated by the Valley Independent Investigative Team.

An Auburn police officer shot a man Thursday night after attempting to arrest the suspect, who had a warrant out for his arrest.
The incident happened near Fenster Nature Park.
Officers were responding to a call about a blocking disabled car in the 300 block of T Street Southeast when they confirmed that one of the individuals involved with the vehicle had a warrant out for his arrest. The male ran from the officers, who then pursued on foot. The man pointed a handgun toward the pursuing officers, and one officer shot the man in response to this threat.

AUBURN, Wash. - A man was shot and killed by a police officer after reportedly pointing a gun at them during a pursuit.
According to Auburn Police, it happened about 8:50 p.m. when officers responded to a disabled vehicle blocking the roadway in the 300 block of T Street SE. After speaking with the people in the vehicles, officers found that of of them had a warrant out for their arrest.

When officers tried to arrest him, he ran. Police said they started chasing him, and shortly after he reportedly pointed a handgun at officers. One of the officers shot the man in response. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
