Firefighter jason cortez died during a training incident a few blocks away. We can confirm this was at training incident. Reporter it happened at 10 00 in the morning in the initialen district. He was treated there and taken to the hospital. Unfortunately shortly before 11 00 this morning, jason succumbed to his injuries. Reporter the Fire Department would not discuss what led to his death.
