The Secretariat of Environment and Territorial Development has officially recognized the Vallarta Botanical Garden in Cabo Corrientes, Jalisco, as a Natural Protected Area with the special designation of State Area Voluntarily Designated for Conservation, making it only the second of its kind in the state.
