Islamabad: Barely a month after the Hazara University of Mansehra announced a dress code for its students, another university in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the Bacha Khan University (BKU) of Charsadda, has said it will keep an eye on the dress and footwear of the students, staff and faculty.
According to Adviser to Chief Minister of KP, Ziaullah Bangash, the dress code has been introduced in BKU to make the students appreciate their culture and inculcate in them positive values. “We are Muslims and custodians of the great civilisation of the world. Both these aspects should be reflected through our attire,” said Zia Bangash while defending the university’s decision of imposing the dress code.
