In this rising interview, UK Afro-Pop newcomer of Zimbabwean origin, Valee Music talks about her influences as an artist, what makes her unique, new projects for the upcoming year (2021), and a lot more.
Valee Music prides herself on her Southern African roots. Growing up in London, her music is a fusion of her culture and upbringing which reflects her journey this far.
Last year, she opened the UK’s biggest Southern African festival, Zimfest, where she performed alongside the likes of House DJ, Zinhle, Thomas Mapfumo and Winky D to name a few. Valee Music is definitely one to watch as a rising artist and her new single is sure to take the world by storm!

“I want my fans to come on a journey with me wherever I go I wear my flags with pride and my heritage on my chest. I want my music to reflect this. London is the melting pot that has curated and nurtured the beauty of who I am today. My music culture is influenced by beautiful afrobeats, house, soul whatever it may be is what I want my fans to see through me and not put a label on it.”
