The health unit says they’re associated with the jail, the Valard East-West tie line project, and others who got it from being around infected people. However, eight cases have been resolved, putting the current active count at 155. To date, there have been 868 people infected since the pandemic’s start, with 26 deaths. As of Wednesday, there were 15 active cases in Greenstone and surrounding First Nations. A breakdown of the communities was not immediately available, but on Tuesday there were seven cases in Longlac, seven in Long Lake # 58 First Nation, and two in the adjacent Ginoogaming First Nation.
