Catholic Mobilizing Network commemorates National Crime Victims’ Rights Week “Catholic social teaching calls us to prioritize the needs of people who are marginalized and vulnerable, which includes victims and survivors of crime,” said Krisanne Vaillancourt Murphy, Executive Director of CMN. “A restorative approach to justice calls us to the same end. It offers us ways of centering the needs and voices of crime victims and exploring pathways toward renewed safety, recovery, and healing.” The annual commemoration of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week lifts up the accomplishments of the victims’ rights movement, which is built upon the courageous advocacy of individual victims of crime, their families, and those who assist them.
