Hundreds of children have been hospitalised with Covid-19 in Lithuania

Although Covid-19 has been more dangerous for elder people, several hundred children have been hospitalised in Lithuania s two biggest cities, Vilnius and Kaunas, medics say. Some children had severe forms of Covid-19.
“The majority of children recover fairly easily. Children are hospitalised when secondary bacterial infections are suspected, they have fever for a longer period of time or have other underlying conditions that need medical attention,” Inga Ivaškevičienė, head of the Children s Infectious Disease Department at Santaros Clinics in Vilnius, told BNS.
