The 19-year old Dutch young rider Joanne Koch has found a new horse in the internationally competed small tour horse and broodmare Darabel.
Darabel is a 13-year old KWPN mare by Westpoint out of White Spot (by Don Schufro x Flemmingh). She is bred by Willem Goesten in The Netherlands.
Iron Spring Farm is pleased to introduce the 11-year-old Approved KWPN stallion Cum Laude. He’s everything you could want in a stallion: exceptional movement, great character and striking beauty. Cum Laude was successful in the show ring as a young horse, up through the levels to CDI Prix St. Georges and Intermediate I. He’s also a popular sire, with several elite mares to his credit.
“Cum Laude came in training with us when he was five years old,” recalls his former rider and owner Vai Bruntink. “I immediately fell in love with him. He was so pretty and sweet.” Bruntink continued to develop the stallion and took him to the young horse classes as a six-year-old. He scored an 82 in the first round of the Pavo Cup and finished in 5th place. He was also a high scoring crowd favorite at national shows during this time.

At the 2021 KWPN Stallion Licensing last week, four Painted Black sons were presented and all four of them were licensed, turning this into a 100% success story for sire Painted Black. No other stallion was able to achieve such an extraordinary feat this year.
Painted Black is a 1997 KWPN born stallion by Gribaldi out of keur mare Litchy (by Ferro x Officier).
