The Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) has replaced two candidates from Gujarat s Vadodara and Sabarkantha seats, but dropped Bhikaji Thakor from Sabarkantha. A bandh in Aravalli district supported Thakor, and party workers protested at the BJP office in Modasa. Shobhna Baraiya, wife of former Congress MLA Mahendrasinh Baraiya, was nominated as the Sabarkantha candidate after Thakor s social media withdrawal due to personal reasons.
