these boards, that is telling. local politics, for those of us that pay attention, question understand that local politics are the most important in that they affect people s day-to-day lives the most directly. but for a long time, it seems like they were the elections that voters cared the least about. covid changed a lot of that, especially for parents that watched schools, kept their kids locked out for months and justified endless mask mandates and vaccine requirements, which are still going on in some cities today. so voters are realizing that they want to have a say in their day-to-day lives as well and they don t want unelected bureaucrats running the show anymore. neil: you see donald trump pitted against desantis as if there s a race already on. getting way ahead of ourselves here. is it your understanding that no
