CLEVELAND A new, shareable public service announcement produced by WKYC Studios is helping spread the word about how to access the COVID-19 vaccine to Northeast Ohio’s Latino community, which is one of the local populations most at risk of contracting and dying from the coronavirus.
People 40 and over who live or work in Rhode Island can now schedule appointments.
Residents 16 and older who live in certain hard-hit zip codes are also newly eligible. Those zip codes are 02893 (West Warwick), 02906 (Providence), 02910 and 02920 (Cranston), 02911 (North Providence), 02914 (East Providence), and 02919 (Johnston).
On Friday, the state announced that residents of Woonsocket 16 and older were immediately eligible because Woonsocket is among the hardest-hit communities in the state and also has a low vaccination rate.
