UAE Covid vaccine: 99,781 residents vaccinated in 24 hours

The UAE has vaccinated 99,781 residents against Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
The country s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) said the total doses administered now stands at 4.41 million. This takes the rate of doses per 100 people to 44.63.

The UK government on Sunday ruled out plans to introduce vaccine passports to allow people, who have been vaccinated against the novel coronavirus to travel abroad.
However, Vaccine Minister Nadhim Zahawi has said that people could get evidence from their doctors that they ve taken the jab, if they need it for travelling.

The UAE has vaccinated 112,521 residents against Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

The country s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) said the total doses administered now stands at 4.31 million. This takes the rate of doses per 100 people to 43.62.
Meanwhile, MoHAP has announced dedicating vaccination centres only to elderly people and those with chronic diseases in the light of the spike in infections over the past weeks.
The ministry added that over the 4-6 weeks, other segments of society may get vaccinated after prior appointment.

The UAE has vaccinated 84,852 residents against Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
The country s Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) said the total doses administered now stands at 1.88 million. This takes the rate of doses per 100 people to 19.04.
Health authorities in the UAE on Saturday announced that the country is now number one globally when it comes to vaccinating medically eligible residents against Covid-19.
The UAE has achieved a vaccine distribution rate of 24.58 doses per 100 people in this particular category, according to the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA).
