Boulevard there is a Daycare Center on the street. This is part of san lenadro that is on the border with oakland. We her sirens. We heard gunshots. And more silences. At 7 30 in the morning violence shook the neighborhood and a resident called to report an unfamiliar car parked in the neighborhood with people sleeping inside when officers approached one person got out of the car, ran, and was arrested. The second person tried to get away, too. Driver immediately accelerated the vehicle, struck the officer, knocking him to the ground, running him over and fleeing to bancroft avenue. The driver got away. The driver is officer is in e hospital with nonlife threatening injuries. Police are looking for the driver. The best information may have come from young witnesses, eight and tenyear old children.
