The Indian Express caught my eye last week. It reported that in Gurugram, Haryana (where I live), the local district authorities are worried by an uptick in the number of covid cases and are planning to intensify and ramp up the government’s ongoing vaccination drive. The aim, according to the report, is to increase the number of hospitals administering covid vaccines.
However, a closer look at this ‘ramping up’ shows just how skewed the approach is: five hospitals have been selected to run 24-hour vaccination clinics, only one of which is a public facility. The other four are exclusive and expensive private hospitals. I would imagine that the poor, even if they wish to pay the ₹250 fee for a shot, will not easily be granted entry to these spaces. NEW YORK (PRWEB) February 05, 2021
Mediaplanet launches December print and digital campaign entitled “Vaccine Awareness.” This campaign will provide readers with a greater awareness and understanding of the process of how vaccines are made, approved, distributed, and administered. It will also serve as a platform to create solutions and initiatives to improve immunization rates in the United States and globally.
Vaccines help to prevent national and global infectious disease outbreaks and save between 2-3 million lives every year. However, many people around the globe and in the United States are not vaccinated and more than 1.5 million people die from vaccine-preventable diseases each year. Intensified by the COVID-19 pandemic, vaccine hesitancy was named by the World Health Organization in 2019 as one of the top ten leading threats to global health, citin

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) â The Tallahassee Coronavirus Task Force is working to bring vaccines to the city s most vulnerable neighborhoods.
The group is made up of faith and community leaders and the hope is to bring the COVID-19 vaccine to people in disadvantaged and under-served parts of town.
The group has created a plan to start more communication with the public and buy at least one more mobile unit to bring vaccine distribution directly to neighborhoods.
The Trump administration is urging states to expand access to vaccines, including making them available to anyone over 65. New York state lowered its vaccine age to 65 from 75 following the change in guidance.
