before the gunman entered. but that is completely different from what the public was told just days ago. cnn s omar jimenez is live for us in uvalde tonight. omar good evening to you. this is another contradiction from officials, what is the very latest? on the investigative, side this is another discrepancy of police initially told us, versus what we find out to be reality. police initially said that this teacher propped open a back door that was supposed to be lock the day of the shooting. and we are now learning from authorities, she actually closed that door when she realized there was an active shooter, but it did not lock. this discrepancy is coming as we are now starting to see the first of what will be many funerals here in this community. even as you walk around, it s hard to find people who were not personally affected by this, even if not directly, they know someone who was and so we are going to see families morning in funerals that will continue into tomorrow,
