Federal officials say they’re making progress in housing unhoused veterans in the L.A. area, as they push back on calls by a federal judge and advocates to return to housing 4,000 veterans at the agency’s sprawling West L.A. campus.
you only got one more year. what happened? why did it have to get this far? he could have called. miguel marquez has more from the uva campus. reporter: 10:15 sunday night, gunshots fired on the university of virginia campus. we heard some of the shots and m almost immediately bullets were flying. reporter: one witness said they heard shots inside the bus as it pulled up to campus. doors opening up and people tumbling out. the shots happened inside a bus. three of the victims did not survive. reporter: 10:40 p.m. uva police tweet a shelter in place order. for the next 12 hours, students trapped wherever they were, in libraries and dorms. we were basically turning the lights off, hunker down. trying to just stay put. i was feeling pretty anxious.
