The Allahabad High Court has held that the bar created in Section 17 of the Uttar Pradesh Lokayukta and Up-Lokayuktas Act, 1975 on review of its decision by any court, does not apply to High Court’s.
Other officers facing the inquiry are PC Shukla, then Joint Secretary, Health; DK Singh, Additional Director, Power, Directorate of Health and Family Welfare and Chand Kumar Rawat, section officer of the Health and Family Welfare Department.

Retired CBI judge Surendra Kumar Yadav, who delivered the Babri demolition verdict, was appointed the Up-Lokayukta (Deputy Lokayukta) of Uttar Pradesh.
He was administered the oath on Monday. As per the Uttar Pradesh Lokayukta and UP-Lokayukta Act, 1975, he will have a term of six years. UP Governor Anandiben Patel had signed the notification appointing him as Deputy Lok Ayukta (III) on April 6.
Babri demolition case was the last case tried by him as the presiding judge of Special CBI Court, Lucknow. His term was specifically extended by the Supreme Court to complete the trial in the Babri demolition conspiracy case.

Lucknow, Jan 31 : Uttar Pradesh Lokayukta Justice Sanjay Mishra has issued show-cause notice to RTI activist, Urvashi Sharma, who had filed a complaint against former state information commissioner (SIC) Arvind Singh Bisht in 2018.
Arvind Singh Bisht, a former journalist, is a relative of Samajwadi patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav Bisht s daughter Aparna is married to Mulayam s younger son Prateek.
Sharma s security money has also been forfeited as her complaint has been seen as malicious and frivolous under section 13 of the Uttar Pradesh Lokayukta Act, 1975.
