Kannada Sahitya Parishat elections: President aspirants pull out all stops to woo voters | Hubballi News

HUBBALLI: With elections to Kannada Sahitya Parishat’s (KSP) state and district president post announced for May 9, candidates have started wooing voters at district and state level. While aspirants are holding meetings at marriage halls and temples in north Karnataka districts, their southern counterparts are meeting in luxury hotels. The culture of resort politics too has emerged among KSP aspirants with many attending small literary events in taluks, to meet KSP members and hold cocktail parties. RG Halli Nagaraj, a publisher-writer in Bengaluru, said aspirant-candidates have been wooing members since 5-6 months and alleged that a candidate eyeing the president’s post has been approaching members offering money.
