Located in the northeastern corner of Lafayette County between the Missouri River and historic Highway 24, the area was a focal point of travel and commerce during the19th century, and lies on the path of the expeditionary company of Lewis & Clark and parts of the Santa Fe Trail. The vineyard and winery lie close to a bend in the Missouri River that legend suggests was named after a sunken boat called "Baltimore." (MissouriWine.org)
