"Located 5 miles west of Waverly on Highway 24, Baltimore Bend Vineyard is a family owned and operated business that was started because of a love of wine and a thirst for an understanding of the winemaking process. Located in the northeastern corner of Lafayette County between the Missouri River and historic Highway 24, the area was a focal point of travel and commerce during the19th century, and lies on the path of the expeditionary company of Lewis & Clark and parts of the Santa Fe Trail. The vineyard and winery lie close to a bend in the Missouri River that legend suggests was named after a sunken boat called "Baltimore." (MissouriWine.org)

"Located between Warrensburg and Knob Noster, just south of 50 Highway at "P" junction. Bristle Ridge was established in 1979, as the first vineyard and winery in Johnson County Missouri. It has been in the same family since that time. All of the wines are made from grapes grown in the vineyards and range from dry to sweet. The wines each have the fruit flavor from the grapes. Speciality wines are made from fruit within the state to remain "Made In Missouri". The view from the porch to the North is a truly relaxing experience and also boasts spectacular sun sets. The tasting room/gift shop offers a large selection of commodities. Available for: Conversations, Celebrations, Occasions and Events." (MissouriWine.org)
