Get our free mobile app According to the Brookfield Volunteer Fire Department, the town s Bravest, who are fully equipped for the situation thanks to the recently deployed Marine 25 vessel, were dispatched right around 8:00 AM on Tuesday to Candlewood s Vaughn s neck in order to aid the New Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department in their battle with a structure fire. Under the command of New Fairfield Car 21, Brookfield VFD units Engine No. 4, Utility Car No. 1, Unit 18-2, and the new vessel Marine 25 reportedly fought the intense blaze for a total of 90 minutes before the fire was completely extinguished.
