The metal tracks are from the last operating lines of streetcars that from the late 1800s until the 1940s brought people back and forth to Salt Lake City and Murray on an electrified line.
The Rio Grande Depot will remain closed for some time because of damage it received from an earthquake three years ago. But experts say it may have helped preserve the building for the long haul.
