SALT LAKE CITY The future is here. More than 500 Utahns have already enrolled in the state s new mobile driver s license program, but that number is expected to grow into the thousands by the end of the year, according to the Utah Public Safety Driver s License Division and the Massachusetts-based company behind the new technology. David Kelts, director of Mobile ID Product Development for GET Group North America, estimates that more than 1,000 mobile licenses will be set up in Utah by the end of the week and over 10,000 mobile licenses before the process is available to everyone statewide at the start of 2022.
