Campus store can provide custom items to parishes Friday, Jun. 11, 2021 April van der Sluys Special to the Intermountain Catholic DRAPER Saint Paul’s Place on the Skaggs Catholic Center campus is more than just a go-to place for school uniforms. They also create unique swag and apparel items for parishes, clubs, sports teams and spirit wear for Utah Catholic Schools.  With their recent partnership with Eastbay and Nike, Saint Paul’s Place has been able to expand their offerings.  “Customers want variety in apparel,” Store Manager Sharon Shelkey said. “Outsourcing to vendors requiring minimum orders, financial investment, and excessive turnaround time often inhibits other small businesses, too. This forced customers to choose from limited options and positioned us to order the most popular sizes, restricting the petite or rotund options. We grew our services by investing in the apparel decorating industry to produce more projects in-house.”

Catholic schools offer new scholarship program - Intermountain Catholic

Catholic schools offer new scholarship program Friday, Jan. 29, 2021 Intermountain Catholic SALT LAKE CITY – A new program recently launched in the Diocese of Salt Lake City aims to help provide a Catholic education for all Utah Catholic families who live within commuting distance of a Catholic school. The Pastor’s Promise scholarship offers Catholic families 60 percent off tuition for one year for their children. Although Utah Catholic Schools offer a Catholic education to more than 4,200 students, the majority of Catholic students are not enrolled in Catholic schools, Superintendent Mark Longe said. Diocesan officials hope that these scholarships being offered in parishes in the Salt Lake, Ogden and Tooele areas will help Catholic families overcome the hurdles that have led them to enroll their children elsewhere.
