Traffic is diverted onto Highway 217 Wednesday morning as the wreck is cleared.
A stretch of northbound Interstate 5 was in the Terwilliger Curves was blocked through the Wednesday morning rush hour after crash involving a semi-truck.
According to the Portland Police Bureau, just before 4:30 a.m. on June 9, a semi-truck trailer crashed onto its side and ended up on top of a car on I-5 northbound at Southwest Terwilliger Boulevard.
The crash did not result in any deaths, but the extent of the injuries of the people in the car was not immediately announced. They were extricated and sent to the hospital.

An Aurora man involved in a collision left a Dayton woman dead, and a passenger hospitalized Tuesday evening.
A Dayton woman died in a two-vehicle collision that involved an Aurora man Tuesday evening on Highway 219 near milepost 22.
According to Oregon State Police, Alexander Lewis, 20, of Aurora, was traveling southbound when he moved into the northbound lane to pass a tow truck hooking up a trailer on the southbound shoulder.
Lewis Nissan Frontier collided with a northbound Kia operated by Erika Wanmer, 22, of Dayton. Wanmer sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead. A passenger in the Kia was transported by air to Legacy Emanuel. Lewis was transported by ambulance to OHSU.

Two Salem residents died following a collision on Highway 99E north of Gervais that involved a Cherriots mini bus on Wednesday night.
At 8:09 p.m., emergency personnel responded to a two vehicle crash near Boones Ferry Road. Oregon State Police troopers determined that a Ford Fusion operated by Jordan Chandler, 26, of Salem was traveling south on Highway 99E when his vehicle entered the northbound lane and collided with a Cherriots mini bus operated by Rachel Bunting, 51, of Salem.
