exercise and an important moment in this congress for us to read the constitution, but i do think that you can t just read it like a speech and then leave skid marks on it in your legislative record. reporter: two interesting moments, at one point there was some screaming in the gallery. something about president obama, the presiding officer gaveled the house to order, instructed the sergeant in arms to remove the heckler at which point the reading resumed. and around 11:35 eastern time a lawmaker named laura richardson, democrat of california, read the oath of office that the president takes whenever the president is sworn in, and it gave us an idea unprecedented to my knowledge of what it would look like if a woman took the oath of office as president. jon: one of our e-mailers, james, writes kathy from texas said she was looking forward to that but should not all members of the house of representatives
american taxpayer to be tapped with that bill. jenna: what kind of reforms do you think are necessary to help a family like yours with preexisting conditions if it s not a massive overhaul like some are saying we re seeing with this law? again, there are two ways to go, one is put it all on government and have government regulate and mandate what insurance companies do. i don t think that is the way to go. i think what the american people want is to free up this healthcare process, so that private insurance companies can be out there and meet the needs of my wife and the preexisting condition she s got, and conditions that other families have. what we want to do, what this freshman class wants to do is offer a real radically refreshing type of representation. we are going to be very different. we are going to be with our constituents all the time, and that s what we are doing right now, and that s why you re seeing the vote for obamacare next week to repeal obamacare next week.
