India has been a hopeful partner for the U.S. in Afghanistan says Pentagon The United Staates’ National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan spoke to his Afghan counterpart Hamdullah Mohib on Wednesday, May 26, 2021, during which they discussed the peace process among other issues, the White House said.
During the call, Mr. Sullivan emphasised that the United States will remain deeply engaged with the government of Afghanistan and the Afghan people as US troops depart the country.
Mr. Sullivan implied that the situation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) was discussed by the Quad leaders as one of several examples of Chinese aggression

US President Joe Biden looks forward to engaging with his counterparts in Australia, India and Japan in the Indo-Pacific region as soon as possible, according to a senior administration official.
Quad comprises Japan, India, Australia and the United States. The four countries had in 2017 given shape to the long-pending proposal of setting up the Quad or the Quadrilateral coalition to counter China s aggressive behaviour in the Indo-Pacific region.
