It happened at the direction of President Donald Trump, who tweeted an image of the American flag as the news broke. The U.S. Defence Department said Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani “was actively developing plans to attack American diplomats and service members in Iraq and throughout the region.” Iran’s supreme leader vowed there would be harsh retaliation.  03 – Australia launched one of the largest evacuations in its history, as more than 200 wildfires burned across the country.
