WASHINGTON, May 14 (Xinhua) Democratic and Republican members of the U.S. House Homeland Security Committee on Friday reached an agreement on legislation to establish a bipartisan 9/11-style commission to review the deadly Jan. 6 Capitol riot, Speaker Nancy Pelosi said. It is imperative that we seek the truth of what happened on January 6 with an independent, bipartisan 9/11-type Commission to examine and report upon the facts, causes and security relating to the terrorist mob attack, Pelosi said in a statement.
A House floor vote was expected as soon as next week, she said.
