COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - A Kershaw County woman has died after her car crashed in the woods.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened just after 6 a.m. Tuesday on U.S. Highway 1 near Mecklenburg Road.
A woman was traveling south on U.S. 1 in a 2004 Mitsubishi when the car when off the left side of the road, overturned, and hit a tree. Moments after the crash, the vehicle caught fire while the woman was trapped inside.
