The secretive Camp 7 was originally opened in 2006, and was for prisoners who had previously been held in a “network of clandestine CIA detention facilities,” reported the Associated Free Press (AFP). The military has never allowed journalists to see inside the facility, and lawyers had to get a special order from the court to visit the location. The military had also refused to acknowledge the unit’s exact location and how much it cost to build.
